“Agony”
I am a troubled soul that has lost his way
I have fallen from grace and bent my faith.
And I have never really tried to understand
What society deemed fit rules for this man.
The wastelands became my happy home
And as time went on my heart turned to stone.
Time always has a way of slowing us down
And as I age my views are turning around.
I'm on a new path to mend my ways
With the due's I've rang up now having to pay.
I feel the hell hounds chasing, closing in on me
But this dawg's still running and I remain free.

The Path
I stepped outside and looked at the sky
the sun was gone and I had to know why.
There was a sudden flash that came without sound
and when I looked up is when I saw down.
the path became black and it started to snow.
The snow wasn't white as I knew it to be
but kind of mist green and that puzzled me
The snow turned to mushrooms and then they were gone
in this state of mind is where I belong.
The path soon ended at the edge of a cliff
and something was burning so I took a big whiff
Roasted marsh mellow and brisket filled the air.
I fell into consciousness
until next time –
