A Look at the Seven Deadly Sins. 3 – 7
#3 – {Greed} A passionate love or desire for material wealth. For ages mankind has struggled with spiritual shortcomings concerning this deadly sin.
Rarely do you hear anything about this in churches in modern times as the great wealth has often been justified by claiming that it’s what God wants for a person all the while preventing the poor from achieving this goal.

Wealth walks hand in hand with immoral behavior.
Since the mid 19th century The Catholic church has amassed a fortune from taxes it imposed on it’s people. By World War Two it had created the Vatican Bank. The scale of the greed here alone is incomprehensible.
Another study suggested that merely thinking about money could lead to unethical behavior. Researchers from Harvard and the University of Utah found that study participants were more likely to lie or behave immorally after being exposed to money-related words.
Response
What causes greed? I think we start out longing for things as young children and as we age the path to riches becomes a major freeway, easier to access and faster travel while the desire to help your fellow man becomes more of a rural road less travelled.
This could also be a matter of Religion being {hammered} into our minds from an early age. Is greed all about just money though? That’s what I’m trying to figure out in this journey and hopefully justify some misunderstood images of how people perceive this sin.
I wish I could offer a more detailed explanation but alas as I mentioned before I’m travelling the rural road. SINS 2 ME 1
