Blue Titles {Episode 4}

Top 25 – > 10-12

A cold rainy day and no desire to wander outside so I decided I might as well get to the point on this post. Today finds us looking at ten thru twelve on my list of 25 so…

#10 – Bob Dylan – Tangled Up in Blue

This is why the man is a musical genius, this live version is very different than anything you would hear on air-play. Bob is one of few artists that can make you feel his songs. I chose this one because many days have found me “Tangled Up in Blue”.

#11 – Badfinger – Baby Blue

This was a good band that got caught up in the ending of Apple records. After Apple Records folded in 1973, Badfinger struggled with a host of legal, managerial, and financial problems, leading to Ham’s suicide in 1975. The surviving members struggled to rebuild their personal and professional lives against a backdrop of lawsuits, which tied up the songwriters’ royalty payments for years. A very sad tale.

#12 – Ozark Mountain Daredevils – Jackie Blue

What a band! These guys had many hits and I also have found gems not played over the “waves” on vinyl such as E.E.Lawson and of course the “Chicken Train” as well as others. Jackie Blue made everybody feel good when it played over the air. It made you feel better live in concert.

Well we got four episode’s in the “Dawg House” today and this brings us to a half way mark if you please. As with prior episode’s I ask for you to comment on my selections or how I present it or maybe a recollection of your own journey with these bands.
