A Look at the last Deadly sin {7 of 7}
#7 – {Pride} – “What’s your thoughts on Pride?” Think about this for a minute. I have been sitting here staring at the screen and debating this “deadly sin” for more than a minute.. I think before I go look at wiki or any other fact finders that I’m sure could give me reasons for it being on this list, I will look at…

This is a considered a pride and it could be deadly so…
Loving Ourselves
To have pride is considered a sin because you are focusing on yourself and this is supposed to be an afront to God. But my question is how can it be an affront to God? let alone a deadly sin to feel good about something you’ve done or accomplished? Didn’t he say to love ourselves?
1 John 4:16–19, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him.”
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.

Here’s the Rub

The seven deadly sins are not found in the bible but rather in the catholic religion. That’s right, another guilt trip focusing on making you feel guilty so you can be controlled and placed under the thumb of a false belief.
There are two constants in this journey of life. #1 We all die at the end of this life and, #2 No one can tell you with any authority what happens after #1. These are solid facts as well as the sky is above us and gravity sucks.
The bible is a guide to live life by but remember this, The New Testaments were written years after Jesus died on the cross. It was written by men, and God only gave us 10 commandments to live by and as I stated before, anything else are rules imposed by man not God.
From what I gather from reading the bible is that God could be vengeful when he wanted to be but is a loving God and while Jesus walked this earth he promoted love and peace.
In my opinion the ending of life will bring judgement of some sort and I am ready to face the consequences of the things I have done in life. I believe thoughts won’t be judged unless acted upon and you will be given credit for the good done as well as punished for the bad.
In the end what does it mean? To me it means spread love and peace around you every chance you get, be kind and just in your dealings with fellow humans and don’t mock or judge your maker.
As this is the end of this series would you take a minute to respond with your thoughts on these sins? You are too kind, thanx
