List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?

Describe Impact -Verb “To Influence”

1 – I will obviously start with the KJV of the bible. It has profound knowledge inside that can transform my mind and spirit to a more peaceful state and if reading with an open mind it can and will transform my thought process and how I deal with other specimens of our human race. I have read parts here and there as just starting at the beginning and trying to read straight through can not be done by me. However by jumping around I can get interested in and learn from the reading.

2 – Yes I Can by Sammy Davis Jr.

This book was given to me by my mother when I was a young boy. I was covered in psoriasis and struggling with life. Sammy Davis Jr. overcame unsurmountable obstacles in a time where “Negros” was a common term and instead of letting it control his future he led life as a “Man” instead of a “colored man”. His out take on life was staggering in the aspect that after a horrible accident he lost an eye but wouldn’t let that or racism slow him down. I have read this book many times and each time it refreshes my mind set that I can overcome.

3 – Imajica by Clive Barker

A book of erotic passion entwined with mythic horror. This is a great piece of fiction that carries the reader across dimensions in time and space encircling the mystery of God and the human soul. An assassin, lovers, mystery and time travel all come together to bring the reader into the mind of a great author. Crossing four other worlds brings me to the point where my mind envisions the tragic trip through love, hate, murder, and chaos. A must read for fiction at it’s finest.
