Twice as Nice

Or…A Twofer Twofer

After a start to a Monday morning, we see the outcome or direction this day will present to me.the late afternoon turned things around.

I stated in a previous post about me replacing my tv with a used one that has a great pic but no remote.

I received the original remote replacement today and it didn’t program the tv I had bought last week so I not in my happy place, more like Monday blues right? Coffee was working fine but everything else I touched went south in a hurry.

After some stinking thinking and a few cuss words I decide to hell with it and drove about 45 minutes to a “city” where I could find a Best Buy and came home with a new pioneer tv. Getting in a better mood.

I got scheduled for a hernia op Wednesday morning as an outpatient which is the twofer. I have been waiting on this for over a year and a half due to the surgeon not wanting to do it because I smoked, really?

New “doc” new rules. Dr. March tells me in January that my A1C was at 9.5 and had to get down under 8 before he could operate. I went in last Tuesday and it was down to 6.4! So the good news is getting great.

Second Twofer

I am blessed twice today from Medusa”s Kitchen as they published 2 of my poems. Thank you Kathy Keith!

A FULL MOON SIN
—Ernest Federspiel, Litchfield, MI

I  pulled into Cherry Valley in my pea-green
Ford
I had to get some gas from the quick-mart
store
There was a cute little blond staring straight
at me
She said “I’ll show ya something mister that
you ain’t never seen”
Well I paid for the gas and we sped out of town
We headed up to the California mountains, no
other souls to be found

THE ANIMAL CALLED MAN
—Ernest Federspiel

What happened to our future that we can’t
understand
Why is destruction so commonplace for the
animal called man
Back through time, we record our mistakes and
it’s very plain to see
That the survival of this planet comes down to
you and me
