Don’t have an opinion on a historical figure yet as my thinking cap is lying in a corner somewhere waiting on me to wake up.
So no daily prompt for me. Besides I have read the best possible answer already from Kevin here. Check it out and tell me if you agree.
So Now What?

This day is coming upon me fast and without the pick me up of Starbucks I feel as confused as a squirrel in oncoming traffic. If the truth be told that damn squirrel probably had a plan all along. And no, I’m not out of coffee just waiting for it to do its job. Might have to take it off of salary and put it on the clock for better performance.
They tell me that while Phoebe over at Drops of Ink is getting all wet today I am in for another unbearably hot day which is ok as the air works fine.

Blowing Off
Finally the coffee is performing the duties it was purchased to do. As the mind clears and the thought process comes alive I suddenly have the desire to blow off “work” today and take comfort in catching up on some good reads so I call myself to report in that I’ll be taking the day off.

And now that I got away without receiving points for missing work I can chill and enjoy those books I talked about before calling myself. Of course since I am retired and “working” on a book There is no point system to worry about.
Lunar Gazing Haiku, written by poet Dawn Pisturino is first on the list followed by Petals of HaikuΒ with Lauren Scott. I am a little behind on catching up on these two and am just starting to read Haiku as previously I avoided this style as well as open verse. I’m slow like a sloth when it comes to opening up to new styles I guess.
Rounding out
The last thing on my list today but by far the most important is saying the final goodbye.

For years we ran wild and free
The times both hard and fun
I'm missing you Ron Dawg
Ron is the beautiful soul on the right in this pic R.I.P. brother.
