A Poem by Ernest Federspiel on Spillwords and Other Thoughts

Morning Matinee

Over at Spillwords I have got the following poem playing on the big screen!

OUTSIDE THE GATES

written by: Ernest Federspiel

Don’t you see the world is changing, it’s no longer around the bend
The gates of hell were opened, and Satan has welcomed us in

The gates have always been waiting for the masses to arrive in tow
Most go through blindly, not paying attention to what they owe
I always kept my third eye opened when I was around those gates
You could say I worked overtime to ensure that wasn’t my fate

Finish reading it here. Thanx for checking it out! * photo from Spillwords Press .com. A BIG Shoutout to Spillwords and Dagmara K.

In My Head

With “Outside the Gates” playing on the big screen I look inside to see what is playing on the minds screen, hold on…

The credits are rolling at the beginning of the mind movie and I notice that the Executive Directors name is Mr. Nicotine and laugh, couch and laugh again. Chantix is starting to work but not enough to deter this altered minds morning nicotine routine. Take #5

With the Reader behind me for now I am left to decide on how to appease this altered minds morning need to write and read, to stoke the embers of imagination if not to the breaking point then at least enough to pull out of the overnight parking space and get stuck in the morning traffic jam.

What a way to be stuck right? Jeff Beck can and will satisfy the waiting to move again sensation while I appreciate the rising of another sun and AC.

Speaking of Witch

The sun is cooking us again today and that brings me to the question; Who came up with the saying “hotter than a witches___?”

And since this is the end of June I guess it’s about time for Halloween candy and costumes to go on sale, I mean they only have 4 months left and we all know Christmas sale promotions start way before that.

They speed by

A ton of thoughts fly by my minds eye while trying to design a picture and then the pic becomes obsolete before it can be used. Oh well file it as useable for later and let the file grow. I now understand why yesterday kept me in a fog, no music was on.

I’m off to edit again on my “someday I’ll figure it out” book. Have a great Friday everyone!
