Zodiac Eyes

The green ostrich with zodiac eyes
Pulled his head out of the sand
He searched the nighttime skies
For a elusive constellation of man

Stars aligned and moved in motion
Other creatures were moving about
A gypsy moth was lost in devotion
And a midget tortoise started to shout

A nighttime chill was in the air
Leaves of longing floating gently by
The gypsy moth wore a new scarf of dare
And challenged those zodiac eyes

His green feathers instantly went blood red
Sam the midget quickly withdrew into his shell
I see the constellation was all he said
So the gypsy moth thought it was all cool

A new view for the longing leaves in the wind
But most of the scene remained in clear focus
Sam the tortoise was off and running again
Replaced by a orange eating rabbit named Hocus

The ostrich returned to his color of bright green
Hocus pulled a bullwhip out from a hidden slot
The gypsy moth fluttered around without a clue
The crack of the whip and death became his last thought
