Where Do I Go From Here?

Late last night I tried to print out a copy of my book to see how it looked when not on the monitor and was disappointed to say the least.

I have gotten by with a pass or fail grading curve but this morning finds me tightening the grading curve to ensure a little success or hopefully some understanding on this process I am trying to accomplish.

I learned the hard way about letter spacing and line spacing that still is foggy to say the least but I will repeat and repeat reading what I can to understand where I am at in this confusing school of the ‘Dawgy Dunce Dance’.

It still makes no sense what so ever to me how a 14 point font looks so small after printing on my home printer as compared to a publishing company’s printing. Everything I read tells me this is standard for a 6″ x 9″ as well as chapbook, hardback and paperback formats, color me confused!

I am extremely happy with the way I have the book formatted, I have the cover finished and the inside formatted the way I think looks fine but… The font size is baffling the dawg shit out of me. No picture for this reference, sorry lol.

Looking on the bright side, which must be done to ensure ‘Peaceful Insanity’ in this altered mind, I have made mucho progress thanks to Starbucks and a vivid thought process of make mistakes and fix, repeat. This has helped me to grow and continue to pass the lessons of mistakes and move on to the next stage or class if you will. The help offered is gratefully acknowledged along with all the help I’m reading on the web.

So, as I wait for the next wave of anxiety to form and head to shore I patiently sit on my well waxed board and scan the horizon for clues on how to catch the perfect wave of success with this project.
