Here We Go

I had canned chili for my meal last night. It left me with plenty of gas to make this morning trip through the altered mind. So pile in, buckle up baby and “Let’s Ride”
Two cups of steaming Starbucks sipping sauce finds me waking up rather nicely on this fine morning.
Plugging in an eight track tape brings the bus to cruising speed. It gives us something to listen to as we travel into the morning abyss of mental something or another.
As a young pup I would jam on this style of music. I was hopping around town with little to do. I would cruise from one Azar’s big boy to another one across town. The gas wars of the seventies were going on. You could still fill up the tank for under $20. Hell, a carton of smokes was around seven bucks.

The eighties and nineties found me defining the gypsy I was meant to be. This is one of the first trucks I used to crisscross around the country. It looked ugly but this gem would shoot flames out the stacks and kick ass.
I was a rowdy whiskey, beer-drinking, woman-chasing dawg who enjoyed pushing the envelope of life to the edge.
Fast times mixed in with dangerous opportunities from some of the roughest corners of this great land. These experiences had me enjoying life and all its delicious danger. One of the first places this was clear was the fish market in N.Y.C. [another post, another day].
From the wastelands of the big apple to the fast times of L.A. I have been blessed with memories of a time before the great downfall of this world called the internet. In between the road trips of work, I found myself riding in the city I grew up in. I was enjoying a different kind of fast lane.

Enter the 21st Century
As technology exploded, I regressed and sought a simpler life. This search led me to move to Alabama where I learned a slower style of life. Along with this slower style came extra weight. I ballooned into 390 pounds of a Roll Tide fun loving fanatic.

This was an era that plagued me with health problems for the next ten years. I somewhat recovered my health before returning to Indiana. I returned to care for my mother, who had dementia.

As I now pause to remember my fantastic mother. I’ve decided that this will be the end of this post today. Have a beautiful Monday Wednesday, my friends. Enjoy a cup of that bean boogie brew we all crave, [most of us anyway].
