Watching the Sunrise

Sitting here watching the sunrise and waiting for the caffeine to kick in this morning, I’ve went through reader and email and looked at the daily prompt without much enthusiasm. I liked some posts but the brain wasn’t awake enough to leave a comment so the like button had to do.

The coffee is starting to do something resembling it’s job and tiny tingles of energy are popping up like popcorn in the Jiffy Pop commercials. the foil container that expands with the explosion of kernels inside when getting hot is expanding but not fully opened. I was going to insert a video here but the sound of them swirling the foil across the stove top was too irritating to listen to.

Three cups in and still under a fog advisory I proceed to slowly navigate the altered mind to see what produces itself to be shared with you today. Starpup’s crystal ball must be to cloudy for him to respond as a closed sign hangs across the access door of that part of the mind, and Ghostwriter has taken a vacation not knowing if or when he will return.

Okay, since I am struggling to wake up I will leave you with another Starbuck inspired poem and call it a wash.

Ink on the Parchment

From the mind of a drifter
Words are written down
Peaceful insanity
Once again coming around

Like ink on the parchment
The pain remains inside
I continue writing
Stained love I can not hide

The fun and the laughter
Slowly fade away
Now I'm left here thinking
Of bright and happier days

The emptiness keeps growing
Love stains caused by stubborn pride

The scars and the bruises
In the shadows so serene
Deep emotional turmoil
Hidden beneath the conscious stream

Like ink on the parchment
I leave my soul to be seen
As I weave these words for you
'Ink Stained Love' brings 'Silent Screams'

Wow. The sun is and has been up for a hot minute while this was coming to life. alas the coffee didn’t do the trick this morning so I’m off to enjoy more Zzz’s and hopefully enjoy the rest of this first Saturday in February.
