Hot out of the oven, here’s the last take-out to this edition of Kevin’s NTT

In days of old before the age of microwave's and media's drama of lies
It was a fun treat to stop by the Redwood Inn and order a thin crust pie
Watching the owner toss the dough into shape wearing a cheerful grin
The aroma of pepperoni and garlic filling the little pizza shop once again
The hustle and bustle of cooks behind the scene of this pasta sauce land
Joking around with customers while one was busy cleaning the pie pans
Laughter and chatter drowning out the new Joe Tex music on the ol' juke
A special pie made with three pounds of cheese called the Marmaduke
Buy a pie to eat or get one to cook at home, satisfaction was the only rule
Get it by the slice if you so desired, the Redwood Inn was quite the jewel
I used to enter through the kitchen for take-out, sniffing fresh calzones
Microwaving a frozen pizza tonight has me reminiscing about dem' bones
