8 Layer Salad

I got this recipe from my oldest sister Jan “RIP” and the first time I tried it I was sold! I was a teen-ager and have been making this ever since. You can change up the ingredients to fit your palette and have a easy to make meal for a warm day when heating up the kitchen isn’t reasonable.
Here It Is
- 1 large head of lettuce
- 10 pieces of bacon {cooked and crumbled}
- 1 small onion minced
- 4 hard boiled eggs sliced thin
- 1 frozen bag of peas – cooked to directions
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 pound shredded cheese any flavor
- parmesan cheese
Break lettuce up and place half in a layer in the bottom of a large bowl
Add the peas as the next layer
Add onion as next layer
Add bacon as next layer
Add eggs as next layer
Add shredded cheese as next layer
Add mayonnaise to cover entire salad
Cover with parmesan cheese
After layering all the ingredients cover with saran wrap and place lid over bowl. Let sit in the refrigerator overnight. When ready to serve mix salad completely and enjoy.
