A Virgin‘s View
This finds me doing a book review for the first time,
Dawn Pisturino’s book “Ariel’s Song” is the one I’m digesting today.

Disappointment isn’t a word that should be used in this review as the author has provided a class act book of poetry that finds us engaged in laughter along with poems that make you stop and think or more importantly want to read them again.
I’ve read some of Dawn’s work here on WordPress and really liked her style so it was a no brainer that I would purchase her new paperback when it came out on March 23rd of this year. It can be found across multiple platforms such as
and many more.
From the opening page where “Ashes” and “The Man in Galloway Bay” set the mood for amazement, it just gets better.
“Melissa and the Angels” is a touching story of happiness in troubled times, or “The Girl on the Bus” a wonderful poem about anxiety striking while calmness provides victory.
“April Shower” really touched me with the following,
I looked into the heavens
And saw the face of God
He was a kindly gentleman
And not too very loud
He wore a watch upon his vest
Which gave the time of day
He looked at it: "The time has come."
Was all he had to say"
Intense right? I sure think so. Dawn has various styles of writing to choose from and her talent and imagination really can set a tone for enjoyment.
There are certain things in life that we hate doing and in “The Dentist” the feelings that shot forth from it had me feeling the pain of real life.
There are also things in life that bring us enjoyment and “Ariel’s Song” is full of them. If this book is not on your list of good reads then you might want to re-think your list.
Dawn Pisturino’s is a published author whose work is found across multiple platforms. If you haven’t checked her out now is the time to do so, you can find more at https://dawnpisturino.wordpress.com/ or www.dawnpisturino.org
Thank you for reading this first review and hopefully becoming a fan of both Dawn’s blog as well as mine.
Give a shout-out to let me know if this was justified or a worth while post, thanx
