What Dad Said

Not in this House!

Every generation has there likes and dislikes and in my father’s generation rock and roll was Public Enemy , or at least in my dad’s house anyway. The only music allowed to be played at home were old country hits such as Jim Reeves or Patsy Cline. We knew better than to even let him know we liked that kind of feel good rhythm let alone listen to it anywhere near his earshot.

My Turn

Unlike dad, in my generation it is a little different but there still remains the dislikes of what the next generations are bringing to the table.

I have no choice but to engage in the new technology of future generations as in learning to adapt and overcome the fact that times are and always have been changing and if I don’t climb aboard I will be left in the dust like an old 289 ci. at the drag strip going up against a Lamborghini.

So weather I agree or not I have to accept that AI’s will be running everything in our lives and I see it steamrolling us into the future. I know that the youngsters in this up and coming world are laughing at us old “gummers” and just like we did in the past, are doing what they feel is the right solution for survival in their age and time.

The End Game

When I was a younger pup I respected my elders and would listen to their direction on life but… Did I heed that advice? Sometimes, sometimes not. The respect has changed which is sad.

With the technology advancement I can relate with what my Father said way back when and tell my son’s”Not in this House!” but it would be a lie and wouldn’t much matter since they are all grown and gone leaving me and this journey into the unknown realm of WTF am I doing, and why am I enjoying it?

Thanx for reading this Technical experiment of past to future non-sense and have a blessed day.
