Dawg Whistles

Daily writing prompt
What is your favorite season of year? Why?

A great prompt that fits in with my Dawg Whistle Tuesday. I can easily find the season I like best by taking a little detour through the musical minds of a few artists.

So as we take the first turn of our detour we run across this

Spring is a great time to be alive as the earth is renewing life and feelings emerge from the hibernation of winter. And as the detour has found its way down to a one lane road with stop and go lines of cars we can listen to another track

It “slays” me how when you get to these stop and go detours through construction zones that you find yourselves in a abyss of traffic and taking longer than planned.

Sooner or later the person holding that little walkie talkie spins the stop sign around and we slowly make our way out of the abyss and into oncoming vehicles now waiting their turn to move forward into another maze, which makes me think of corn which brings us out of the construction zone and into the twilight zone of Donovan’s

And that my friends brings us full circle to the answer you’ve been looking for.

My favorite season is the Fall where temps aren’t baking me silly and a crisp wind brings autumn leaves twirling around in the fresh air. Although I dread what follows I do find autumn enjoyable.

Have a great day and hopefully enjoy these whistling tunes for this Tuesday.

  1. Saw Donovan (1968! live!) singing Season of the Witch & really dug it, but I gotta say: I’m more of a Hurdy Gurdy / Lalena sort of guy.

Thanks for the reminder. I wonder, occasionally, whatever happened to Susie, who bought the tickets and invited me to the show on Valentines Day.

    1. Glad this brought back good memories Ron, I would have loved to see Donovan live, His music is intense. And Susie sounds like a classic lady to treat you to this on sweethearts day.

I couldn’t agree more with your love for Fall. There’s something magical about the cool, crisp air and the vibrant colors of the leaves. It’s a refreshing change after the heat of summer and before the chill of winter.

Enjoy your Dawg Whistle Tuesday and those wonderful classic tunes and even more, that hot cup of muddy water!

    Be Blessed Brother .
