The Cactus

No everyday beauty I stand rather plain

Thorns that will prick and cut deep

Are the protectors of what lies inside

I am the magical desert plant

Once a year my true beauty shows

Flowers appear on my arms that reach to heaven

And I shine

Hopefully this will post automatically as I am scheduled for a hernia op today and have already made my way to the hospital. Have a great and blessed day my friends and hopefully will be back tomorrow or Friday.
