I finally made a little progress today and I want to thank Laura for the suggestion on copyrighting this name, and all of you that liked it so much. It got me thinking.

I registered this today with a domain and now have a logo for my book. Thank you so much for inspiring this.

This to me is a BIG step in the right direction I think. I am still weighing the options of going with my logo or IngramSparks logo which costs nothing. I have to figure out what the benefits are for each.

I do know that by using my own ISBN, places like Amazon do not rate self published books as well as they do for established company’s so that would be a plus for (IS).

I’m thinking that most of it will come down to marketing and how many stores prefer a major label vs. self published.

If I do decide to go with IS logo I still have this one locked in and can change it at will with a new ISBN but that kinda seems like throwing money away. Decisions decisions oh my!

I did some homework and found that as long as I don’t have them pay the company name I don’t need an EIN # as the sales will be paid to me directly, so there’s that.

Whatever the future brings I just wanted to give a shout out to Laura for helping me start the brain storm.
