This is my entry to Kevin’s NTT , once again enjoying this man’s excellent pictures, that last picture, WOW. The thought process involved in it …just wow.
Thoughts Behind the Smile

I sit upon this park bench sad, as the sun sets in the west
I want to be happy again, but I guess I flunked the test
I met you at the circus, you were chasing the elephants around
And when I gave you a flower, you just threw it down
As in my profession, I am not allowed to speak out loud
I convey my feelings, by showing emotions to the crowd
A prank, followed by a trick or two on anybody near
Crawling out of a small car, never shedding a single tear
But when the act has ended, the time I spend is alone
I travel from town to town, never finding a happy home
Even though I remove the make up, at the end of each day
I still feel like a clown, sadly wishing you never looked my way
I Sit in Judgement

I sit here in judgement of you, high upon my iron ore throne
I left the gates of hell open, for when you return back home
And as you return to me, you will be tested once again
To reassure me, that you went there to commit many sins
The dues I make you pay are righteous, if to only me
The price that you must pay is your soul for eternity
I gave you a remarkable choice before you came, you know
That by rejecting your God, you handed me your very soul
As you enjoy mortal life, the interest rates grow steep
Piling up without regard to the promise you vowed to keep
So come on in and rejoice that bad choice you once made
As the glory of righteous heavens in your memory fade
Lake of Sorrow

A golden tear filled river escapes the minds third eye
Forming a lake of sorrow across my minds "high" sky
Clouds of incoherent thoughts block any other vision
Welcome friends, to the process of eliminating decisions
I stand in that Lake of Sorrow, a true exception to the rule
I need to reach the tearfall coming from the soul of blue
Only then will the clouds of mourning break and go away
And thoughts behind this smile can be happy again today
One lesson was learned before I stood at that Iron throne
Read the fine print before accepting any treats or bones
The flower you threw down foolishly with no regard or thought
Held a key of Gods' love which cancelled any contract you sought
Thanx for stopping by the dawg house, peace
