Waiting

I stand at the edge of insanity, waiting for the pain to arrive
This all is happening and will leave not a soul left to testify
The light is blinding while I wait on the shock to start
The end result of carelessness will tear the world apart

To late to try and understand how to turn it back around
We let assholes run this planets way of life into the ground
Like the dinosaurs of old our species will no longer stay
Questions not answered on this death journey starting today

Only seconds remain before my body and soul return to dust
A giant mushroom cloud of death is what is presented to us
I stare into a city of ruins as I feel the heat upon my face
Supposedly the smartest species has laid this planet to waste

Humans refused to understand the meaning of love & peace
Instead of spreading it around they only made it decrease
Fighting over religion and who owned what piece of land
Has brought total destruction to the race known as man
