The Week of Halloween Day # 4

Witch & Dawg: A Spellbound Pact

The following story first appeared on Drops of Ink followed shortly after on here. Please check out Phoebes site.

Ernie Dawg

364 days of the year you converse with a lady sharing laughter and hope
But on hallowed eve the spell she produces leaves me trying to cope
My favorite red-headed beauty mixing potions for the night of fright
Dressed like a sexy vixen and laughing all throughout the mystical night

The prompt she is using to cook up another potion of obtaining control
Would have a purebred Ernie Dawg wagging his tail, lying down in a roll
While this sounds crazy it's completely easy to grasp and understand
The witch from the west is named Phoebe and here is a sample of her plan.

Phoebe

364 days you live unscathed, oblivious to what I weave,

but tonight the veil is thin, and we’ll see what you believe.

I smile and stir the pot, my eyes on you with a subtle gleam,

you think you know this game, my dear, but I’m the queen of every scheme.

A flicker here, a whisper there, I draw you close without a fight,

you’re mesmerized by every spell, enchanted by the moonlit night.

You see a playful witch, all charm, but power hums beneath my skin,

one snap, you’re mineβ€”no turning backβ€”the real magic soon begins.

Do you feel it now, the pulse, the pull, surrendering to my sweet command?

Each laugh, each word, each glance I give, a step inside my wicked plan.

Your defenses crumble at my touch, your heart is trapped beneath my spell,

and you, dear Ernie Dawg, are but a pawn in this enchanting carousel.

Once this witch has marked her prey, no mortal man can ever flee,

I’ll haunt you still, year after year, till you beg to stay with me.

Ernie Dawg

As I wag my tail and bark, I have no control of my mind
I am stuck running in circles trying not to remain blind
The spell of a playful witch, such as comes from the west
Really went and did it, my will is not up to matching her test

And so this spell winds down from this mystical witch Queen
I can now look away from her beautiful but subtle gleam
And sharing a collaboration with the master of Drops of Ink
Is pretty damn fun according to what this ol' dawg sure thinks
