This is my thoughts on trying to understand my path on the journey of selling on Amazon.
Quite like how ‘Led’ sings about the love of a woman, I relate this to learning how to move forward in a different aspect in my life. Things that may seem simple to others leaves me dazed and confused in the realm of self publishing my work.
Understanding Amazon and KD publishing has me confused and frustrated to say the least. After climbing the mountain of writing the book and learning how to format, edit, and present it to the public I stand at the top of the mountain of confusion looking at the burning question “Am I in the right place at the wrong time?”
Like Dr. John states “I said the right thing, but I musta used the wrong line”. This might not make sense to you but hey, ‘Dazed and Confused’ is the title of this post friends.
I swim in the Lake of Unknown waters and search for the shore or at least a spot where I can stand up and catch my breath. I Re-Read the rules for making a page again and again.
- Do I need KD or an author’s page?
- Are they one and the same?
- Do I have to pay Amazon for the privilege of selling my book on their site?
- How much? Do I choose the .99 per sale or the 39.99 a month?
- Do I need to buy ‘clicks’ to promote my book?
- I am going to offer the book for sale here with a link to my publisher at a discount so do I have to offer the discount on Amazon? don’t think so but…
- The BIGGIE is this, Will I have to issue a seperate ISBN # to each book offered on Amazon different than the one I issued to it at Imgram Sparks?
Questions like this run through the currents of my brainwaves, swirling and gaining momentum until it feels like a tornadic water spout ripping a path of destruction through the troubled waters of my altered mind.
Good morning my friends. I share these confused thoughts today while trying to grasp the reality I face in my first few cups of ‘Confused Caffeine Cruising’.
