Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?
Used to be that the special dishes were prepared with love and enjoyed with blessings of family.
Today as most of my siblings have passed into the loving hands of the Lord. I spend Thanksgiving giving thanks for the journey I am on by serving myself a heaping dish of Humble Pie.
So yes. From day’s of old when oyster dressing was in big supply around the kitchens of my youth to the present day of serving Humble Pie to myself there have always been special dishes served at the holiday festivities. Lest we not forget the dessert table offering everything from divinity to buckeyes up for the sweet tooth. Happy Thanksgiving memories from my blessed table to yours.
