Messin’ with the Kid

Starbucks and over eight hours of sleep must have been needed as the wake up is smooth today. I started out thinking the WordPress sabotaging bug was visiting but lucky for me it’s over at Nancy’s place today. Sorry for your hassles Nancy!

I shut my PC down last night to install updates and this morning no sound could be had. It also keeps reverting back to Microsoft opening when I’m using goggle. I went back and restarted it and found the landing page is gone and a message that updates are no longer available for my pc. Really? I have windows 12 so what the hell? I am finding Microsoft irritating to say the least lately, first designer now this. Yes it has pushed WordPress into second place for those dreaded ‘Let’s mess with the kid’ woes.

I wasn’t aiming at doing a rant this morning and will try and turn this around.

I wasn’t feeling the daily prompt today as I have answered this one more than once recently and find it mundane. I have brass that hasn’t been polished in years looking brighter than the prompt, but here I go again ranting, sorry.

Off to happier thoughts I hope but let me refresh the magic bean cup first. With a fresh cup in hand I stare at this screen telling myself ‘Self, you need to get your e-proof done and submit the changes instead of being on here.’ I will tackle that today and have it sent in but that is one thing I have to go slow with.

And baby am I going slow. That’s right, I might miss my deadline for publication but I think I am still in the position of hitting my release date with the e-book and paperback. The e-book on Ink Stained Love was put on hold until funds were appropriated but will be out this moth, hopefully next week at the latest.

I will be having a flash sale for it until the end of the month when it will revert to the base sale price.

As I’m writing this a little firecracker of a friend started texting me. I haven’t heard from her for almost a year and it is good to see her doing ok. We met around four or five years ago trimming at Ron’s farm at the end of growing season. Her brother Donnie and sister Kate were cool friends that passed too soon and I miss dearly. We became a tight group of friends while trimming over a hundred plants each growing season. And of course we had to sample the product of each variety. So hey Jackie, if you made it over her I’m really glad to hear from ya, now it’s time for an union meeting lol.

Okay, the rant and rave session is over and I need to get into Canva and work on ‘Silent Screams” Have a blessed day and enjoy yourself in any flavor you choose.
