Mixing It Up

Here I go again with my second entry of this NTT round, trying to mix two styles into one poem.

Just an Illusion

Like waves crashing on the shore of a rocky coast, I see you in my dream
I grasp the thought as it gently fades back into the dark abyss of my mind
A memory from the past suddenly raging into existence to haunt and seek
Teaching me lessons in life that I've lived every night you've been gone
Tired of boogieman confessions, I grasp the true answers from my soul
A new dawn approaching, yet you are slowly fading into the horizon
Wind howling across frozen icicles dripping from my cold heart
I walk down this winter path of life, not caring where you are
We parted ways over silly misbeliefs and no communication of love
Now I walk with my head hung down as it came to push and shove
The stage is set for the final scene of a tragic mind blowing conclusion
Of how something so pure could be represented as a just an illusion
Parting ways with love is such a devastating experience for the soul
What is worse is the remains of a heart living with such a black hole

I love it when the ยฉimages of Kevin’s just take over and the story is written with ease. Fantastic images brother.
