My third entry into Kevin’s fantastic NTT

I gaze out over the small town and see the castle beyond
I'm listening to Genesis sing a beautiful heart broke song
The full moon above and the fog below leave me longing
As my desire for you grows with each breath I inhale

The city is coming alive with sounds of human movement
A dreamer, I look around, my thoughts filled with amusement 
Having my love beside me would be a definite improvement
My wanting overriding common sense, I pause for reflection

Across town and past the castle there is a special spot for me
A little cottage of happiness and peace, a home by the sea
The perfect place we need to complete this loving fantasy
With you in my arms I feel the completeness of my soul

Alas another dream of pure satisfaction while in R.E.M.
A single lady it seems my love will be forever condemned
As I will not be forced to bend at your every wish and whim
Love is a rough paved road of lonely hearts filled with tears
