Nightmare Nappin’

A Saturday night bedtime story for you…

It's not a peace train I am riding on tonight
You were warned that this would happen
Pepperoni snacks before closing your eyes
Suddenly you find that you're nightmare nappin'

In the darkness of the city jungle you call home
A hellbound train stops slowly with a sudden jerk
No one sees who steps off this long black ride
I'll go unnoticed preforming my haunting work

The moonless night draped in fog, I easily move about
A buffet of tortured souls all praying for some escape
You feel terrible sensations as you start to toss and turn
The roar of silent screams bringing you quickly awake
Wiping sweat off your brow, you softly let out a chuckle
The clock saying three more hours remain before dawn
Thinking you will have plenty of rest before you wake
You drift back to sleep not noticing me on your lawn

You think you are dreaming as I float into your vision
A smile caressing your lips, sweet dreams in your mind
Eyes flicker, feeling my presence enter your spirit realm
A black train conductor controlling your brain this time

The person you are hugging, I am the lover in your dreams
Caressing your heart, you were warned this would happen
Passion ensues, no controlling mind bending explosions
Bringing you the end of life while you're nightmare nappin'
