Winter Blues

As the spring sky opened up, what came down was snow instead of rain. Winter wasn’t letting go of the landscape, blanketing it once again. My ancestors from the past floated across my mind reminding me that patience is a virtue.

As I go back in time and remember, a tiny flake of snow lands and melts on my nose . The view of the sky reveals a dream of when the shuttle would enter the atmosphere, giving me a chill. I slowly turn around and go back inside where the heat warms my bones.

Today I’m hiding from another damn winter blast in Michigan. I’ve stood for about as much winter as I want to, no more.

Current time and temp – 9:39 a.m. 34°F Cloudy Feels like 13 snow flurries off and on.
