What a Word & TTC MM24

I have put the word of the day in here along with Di’s great challenge, enjoy

What a Word

EPANALEPSIS – epษ™nษ™หˆlepsษ™s

Noun

(Rhetoric) The repetition of the same word or clause after intervening matter. Greek, late 16th century

Repetition is a common tactic in speechwriting, poetry, and prose to emphasize certain points and create dramatic effect. Epanalepsis in particular creates a circular flow that brings a complete or whole feeling to a statement.

TTC MM24

There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre, though please keep it family friendly.

Your three words today are:
SHOCK
SOCK
SMOCK

Shock lit up my nervous system, an unexpected and uncontrollable shock. As I was being rolled into surgery I watched a puppet wearing a green smock with a sock in his mouth start sharpening his scalpel on a leather strap.
