You ever have one of those mornings where nothing sounds fun to write about?
As I wait on the last challenge to show up so I can mix three together I just don’t feel it today, looking at this prompt with a blank in the brain.
Okay , so half way through my first cup of life awakening magic mud the brain fog is letting up a little bit.
I hold this close to my heart
This was purchased by my oldest brother in Okinawa in 1974/75 while he was stationed there in the Air Force. He passed it on to my oldest sister who had it for years until her death where it was then given to my brother three years my senior. He kept it until he passed in 2015 where it then found it’s way to me.
This beautiful set is hand carved from soapstone and the board is the carrying case, it folds up. /the detail is amazing. The funny thing about this chess set is that no one in my family was ever into playing chess but me. This had sat in closets or attics for the best part of forty years before I gladly set it out to use.
So yeah, I hold this pretty dear to my heart as it is a family treasure that made it’s way to the “runt” of the litter.
