A Fathers Day response from the Dawghouse

Morning Meditation

I met you as a child, when we walked you held my hand
Guiding me throughout my life, teaching me to be a man
You calmed my fears and kept me safe in times of woe
Showing me independence, you let me choose where to go
Many times I forgot to thank you, caught in the rush of life
Forgotten and forsaken, I called on you in times of strife
As age crept up on me, I began to comprehend the truth
I should have paid more attention when I was in my youth
So as Father's Day rolls around, my thoughts return to you
I want to thank you Lord and wish you Happy Fathers Day too.

Happy Fathers Day to all my brothers out there, May your day be blessed with family and friends, and don’t forget to thank your Father for this beautiful day.
