READING — Roasted Coffee Café in downtown Reading feels more like a homey reading nook than your average coffeehouse.

The café — located at 108 S. Main St. — opened last fall and has blossomed into a place where coffee, the community and conversation meet, according to a conversation with ownership.

The interior of the downtown business is adorned with gold-colored historic ceilings and seating areas that make customers feel right at home.

While the business is inspired by all things coffee, the space was designed for the community to engage with neighbors, unwind and relax in an atmosphere that blends the feel of classical jazz music with an at-home vibe.

Roasted Coffee Café offers a unique menu of hand-crafted drinks that begin with locally roasted coffee beans and includes a fan-favored Lavender Rose Vanilla Iced Coffee, while keeping with the times and offering bubble tea.

Customers waiting for their favorite pick-me-up are greeted with a variety of trinkets, patches and locally made novelty items for sale from other small business owners.

The café hosts a variety of entertainment throughout the year, including open mic nights and comedy shows.
