No prompts today. I didn’t even look at them yet. I have been up for 5-6 hours and have been socializing with a couple of neighbors. After coffee and nicotine satisfaction I moved in to scrub clean and finally opened up the brain.

Rant, rave, review? nope, just going to ramble and see what leaves the thought process a little cleaner for me today.

Driving while Dilated

So, yesterday afternoon I went to the eye doc for a yearly vision exam. After checking my eyesight they dilated my eyes and checked them again. The results, my sight got worse after dilation which shouldn’t happen. They tell me I have dry eye and cataracts but couldn’t tell how bad they were. Come back in two weeks and be sure to put eyedrops [fake tears] in my eyes at least three times a day. We will then look at them again and if needed consult on surgery, if not we will prescribe new eyeglasses. This is all good and fine to me but let me explain the drawback.

My glasses darken in the sun and they gave me these even darker inserts to wear along with my glasses and said I was legal to drive. Legal schmegal, with both sets of sunglasses I could barely handle the sunlight. It was a bitch getting home.

Stumbling Blocks

Self doubt has reared it’s ugly head the last couple of days bringing back horrid memories of the block troubles I had while getting the dawghouse up to par, leaving me wonder if my new project is worth the trouble. I know it is, but the frustration eats into me brain like a termite, a slow destructive gnawing.

Winter Growth

I know it’s only July but let’s not kid ourselves, winter is just around the bend. In August I have two major events that happen yearly. 1st is the joy of Alabama football kicking off and cheering for the best damn team in college!!! The 2nd is growing my beard for winter. I love the Roll Tide and even like my beard but as they both come into play I know my least favorite season will be quickly upon us. Bad news for me but great news for our host of NTT.
