As a small boy he was fascinated with his daddy’s pocket watch. The mesmerizing tick as the second hand crept steadily around the dial was soothing. After graduating from high school he decided to put college off for a year or so and got a job in a small jewelry shop downtown.

He was soon learning how to repair watches from the owner and took this job very seriously, quickly being engulfed with the process. As the year flew by he had made the decision on the course he wanted to major in, clock repair.

After earning a degree in horology he moved back to his hometown. As his parents stood on the sidewalk he opened his new shop. The sign above the door was a set of clocks pointing at twelve. He felt happier than Cooter Brown sitting in a fishin’ hole on the Alabama river.
