A Satisfying Sunday Running on Empty

This post was done in sections between naps on this rainy morning.

Blue Eyes

The blue eyes of sadness peer into my soul
Letting me know she is a survivor of life
Dusting off her knees she smiles sadly again
Wanting to regain a resemblance of self worth

A voice of wisdom hinting of a future untold
Whispering that the world must change soon
Challenging the outlook of human emotions
Turning the fear and loss into love and hope

Dancing to unheard music she spins her poetic tales
Showing me the sadness and strength she endures
An unknown melody showing us the way of hope
A warrior princess piercing our souls with knowledge

Okay, I had that running through my head this morning so there it is. What’s next? No idea, I was however enjoying the rush of roasted righteousness requiring Starbucks. 7:30am coffee rush is over.

11:17 brings me back to this page, round two begins now.

So the rhymes have been posted and I still haven’t been to the reader section to see what your great thought processes have presented today.

Yesterday found me wanting as Alabama had a bye week but I watched some games. Oregon wasn’t much of a game as Oregon State was ill matched against the ducks who are conference champs bound again. (Maybe they won’t get ripped off this year by having to play those worthless buckeyes twice after beating them.)

The best game I seen was Oklahoma’s win against Auburn showing me how both teams were stacking up in our conference. I watched any SEC games I could find as hell I’m an SEC fan.

I just placed the daily on here out of a whim and found it to be a gift horse.

Coffee in a Cup

Coffee in a cup bringing life to my mind
Provides the energy that is so hard to find

Sleeping today away is where I was bound
Starbucks awoke me from a sleep so sound

Coffee pot is empty, along with my altered mind
I've nothing more to say today, to me that is fine

The rest is now over, the jitters setting in
Another day of peaceful insanity begins here
