I wasn’t feeling any prompts today and have a busy schedule so I went into my drafts and found this poem to share today.

Losing Control

Dreams of fame and fortune within our souls 
Guiding us into a reality of soothing relaxation
Slipping into the future, replacing worry and strife
We slowly lose control of what is wrong and right

Encountering the fantasy in a world of make believe
Wanting it all without consequences of paying dues
Not caring about others feelings or concerns of truth
Destruction gains momentum, taking control in time

Overstepping the boundaries of nature's simple rule  
Erasing future generations the joy of simple times
Caring not about your fellow mans feelings or hopes
We continue with the destruction of this life giving rock

War is the only solution we have uncovered in the past
To reawaken the reality of what we've tried to obtain
Greed has replaced caring, leaving us all on our own
No more peace in the valley, only chaos fully blown
