Chuck was a shy child who didn’t make friends easily. Spending most of his time alone Chuck had many imaginary friends but not many in real life. After graduating from high school he decided to take a job as a line cook in a greasy food joint on the poorer side of town. It was here that Chuck felt the most comfortable and being stuck on the night shift was an ideal position for him as he was the only cook and no one would bother him as he worked.

The counter was handled by a beautiful brunette named Sheila. She was a couple of years Chuck’s senior and had came to town to share an apartment with her best friend Mary. The second shift position gave Shelia the opportunity to continue her studies at the local college during the day and make a little extra money by accepting the duties of manger at ‘The Crispy Cluck & Co. in her spare time.

One evening after closing time Sheila was in the office going over the receipts and counting the money to get ready to do the night deposit before heading home when Chuck ran into the office excited and out of breath. He hurriedly whispered that there were three masked men trying to get in the drive thru window.

Sheila ran out in the restaurant and checked the drive thru window before dialing 911 to report a robbery. When she didn’t see anyone around the window she went back to her office and found Chuck laughing his butt off. After she had gotten over her anger she had to laugh as Chuck, the quiet trickster had Hornswoggled her. It was the start of a long loving relationship.
