A Dawg’s Challenge 4 Ewe

I enjoy answering the many great prompts provided by some amazing bloggers here and so decided in a moment of madness to provide a one time altered mind kind of challenge.

The American language is tough to understand and tuff to use. While thinking about this I thought why not try to make a challenge using homonyms.

Off the Leash

I broke my chain, jumped the fence and started to flee
No matter how fast I ran I couldn't outrun that damned flea
Running past a bone and my favorite red rubber ball
I wanted to howl but all that came out was a pitiful bawl
Back at the dawghouse I proudly wag my tail
For coming up with this silly homonyms tale

Where I was

I fell into a dream where we got stranded on a mountain top in Chile in late November. I soon found a site to use for shelter and made a small fire using a bale of straw and some sticks I found nearby. As the fire started to grow I warmed up a bit but was still chilly. You started talking to a man I didn’t know and as I approached the aisle of trees you were in I heard you say “I’ll be able to make a profit off the prophet!” Suddenly handcuffs were in sight and a voice sounding like W.C. Fields cried out “Seize that woman for extortion with no bail !” The scene changed and I seen the maid loudly whispering to a ewe about what she should wear to the costume ball, I followed the shadowy prints they left behind into a banned hall only to see Prince and his band the Revolution getting ready to follow Cheap Trick.
