A day to rejoice with gratitude for being blessed
Crisp weather outside, warmth in the heart
Food and feelings showing that we care

Giblet gravy slowly bubbling on the stove
Naps while watching football on the tube
Drumsticks fought over, there is never enough
Melted butter on those fresh baked loaves

A fruitcake in a corner remains untouched
Five different pies all tasting so damn good
But the reason I am blessed is easy to see
People that I love drive me completely nuts
